The Diva queen is very tall at six foot three inches. The first time I met her she was so brusque to us all.

Her pale white skin against a black hooded robe was frightening and her eyes, those deep gray/blue eyes searched my inner soul for a sign. There was something austere about her intense, wanton gaze, and it made me nervous.

Then without speaking she whispered my name as if it oozed from the air. I stood motionless unable to move or think just stand there and feel her heat. I was amazed how beautiful her skin was and how full her breasts were.

She held in her arms a black ominous looking cat with the most evil eyes, and for the longest time we stood face to face not saying a single word; And then she spoke and said, “Is it to be you? What is your name?”

My throat became ever so dry and I managed to squeak out, “My name is gratification, what about is it to be me?”

With a sneer on her pale lips, she hesitated and then as if in a sigh, said, in a quiet French accent, “Mon nom, c’est le silence. (my name is silence)

I asked her what she wanted. For the longest time she just looked at me. Suddenly she smiled and told me she was in love with my poetry and wanted my soul. She said it in such a way that it made my skin crawl and the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end; however, there was something about her that drove my mind backwards to a forgotten time where life was forgotten. Suddenly there was an intense brightness emanating out of her body and the light was coming my way.

Holy crap I thought, what is going on here? Gracefully the light settled upon my person and I felt love for the first time in my life. I felt the comfort of one who deeply cared for my welfare and well being without asking for anything in return.

Now in the cool of the evening she shed her robe and revealed her tall athletic body and slipped into the lake.

She did not bid me come in but asked what it was that I wanted most in life? I told her that I wanted to the the man that my family and friends believed me to be. That startled her and she said, “I thought you already were that man.”

I shyly looked directly into her blazing eyes for the first time and was shocked to see love, compassion, and caring.

Never before or since in my life had I known such a divine feeling.

She told me in quiet whispers that she was sent here to test me and my willingness to serve my fellow mankind.

I replied that Service was the mainstay of my life’s work and I wanted every day to go out of my way to do something nice for someone I did not know. Even if it may only be a warm and genuine smile from the heart.

Then she smiled in such a way as to make the area around us shine like the noon day sun. Here it was bright and clean looking. Then I saw it. A personage coming across the courtyard who appeared to be my father.

“My son it would be a pleasure to shake your hand and begin filling you in on what’s going on. When he got up close to me, he paused, held out his right hand and said, It is time for you to come with me my son. Your work here is finished and Father has a unique work to perform and wants you to get right after it. This life’s test is now officially over and a new one in which you can be a determining factor is about to begin. Everyone is waiting to greet you. It was then that I noticed my lifeless body lying on the ground pale and

I was moving on, but to where?….
